Location:  Buffalo, NY
Overview:  2008 is abundant with new opportunities in Environmental Health and Safety. We are currently filling multiple positions for Engineering and Consulting Firms and a Demolition Company.

Descriptions:

PROJECT ARCHITECT – The successful candidate will be very detail oriented and have a solid technical knowledge base. Having an acute awareness of the value of each minute, this PA will be driven to complete all projects within strict time constraints without sacrificing quality or finesse. Exemplary communication skills are absolutely necessary in order to understand and coordinate client needs. AutoCAD, ADT, BSArch (min), 7+ years exp.

PROJECT MANAGER - Must determine compliance level of companies to effectively mediate and consult with major agency and the client This is a fast paced high charged business environment, and the successful candidate’s ability to multitask under extreme pressure in a variety of environments and situations will be their greatest asset. Must have background in PM, CIH, CHP. Otherwise, EHS background required.

ESTIMATOR – is responsible for the quantity survey and unit pricing of each job, cost managing, over head cost, setting the proposal language of terms and conditions for building that work. They will assist the project manager to ensure productive work environment as well as with initial sequencing of construction activities. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment and good work ethic with a desire to grow and advance within this position. It is imperative that the candidate be personable, with a strong ability to get along with all types of personalities. Prior Estimating, case work and cost managing experience necessary.

DESIGNERS – There are multiple design openings for this prestigious firm; Electrical Designer, Mechanical Designer, and Plumbing/Fire Protection Designer. Designers must have a keen eye for their client’s wishes and have the ability to work in conjunction with project managers and architects to effectively and efficiently complete tasks. 3+ yrs exp, min Associates degree, AutoCAD proficiency. Designers will be working primarily in system designs for institutions and educational facilities.

TECHNICIANS – This company is primarily seeking Asbestos Technicians who’s primary duties are conducting asbestos inspections and overseeing it’s removal. Techs must have excellent communication skills because of continuous client contact and should be willing to approach the tasks they have to perform with meticulous dedication. Must have an attitude conducive to learning/Will train. Any prior experience working with asbestos a plus.

Our Environmental consulting firm client is also seeking an entry level hazmat project monitor. This company is willing to train and certify the right candidate.
